This isn't a surprise, the Chinese bubble has been waiting to happen but things will settle.

Lol. Yes finished it now. Pressed the wrong button. It's very complicated, replying to posts. Lots of keys on my keyboard, not sure what most of them do.
I used to think that that the 'home' key would show me a satellite picture of my house.
Wrong...
It showed me a satellite picture of your house.

Sounds like an Eric Morecombe on the piano moment.  I'm playing all the right keys, not necessarily in the right order.

Yes, it looks good. Not sure about the gypsy caravans around the edge though. Suggest you contact your council.

I see Glencore shares are bouncing around yet again, it turns out there is a lot of short trading on them which is causing instability.
My funds have steadily improved over the past few days, a good mix at the smaller end of the market.

I was away for a few days so didn't see what happened on Friday/yesterday on the markets.

Big rise Friday.  Bloodbath yesterday.  Down again today.

I can't imagine long termers being this active so would imagine the shorting brigade are having a field day at the moment creating panic selling one day and hysteria the next.

Topping up now and again at these depressed levels will do me for the long (13 years) term.

A lot of it is around resource based companies e.g. mining.
Looking at Brazilian resource based shares, they have fallen by half (or more) within the past few years with no sign of a rebound.

Aye.  The big mining/oil shares have probably knocked several hundred points off the FTSE in the last few months.

I only have one (RDSB) and I'm not losing too much sleep over that one, yet.

A small basket of funds (not individual shares) is working for me.
Part of the trick is to choose good stuff and not jump around when the FTSE bounces up or down.
