Sadly it seems that 38 people were killed, majority British.

The tourist industry has effectively stopped.
For Tunisia, after its successful "Arab Spring" it will be very difficult for the country to stay on track and remain peaceful.

Not till WE start condemning them, sanctioning, boycotting. It's no difference then expecting Muslim to condemn extremist if the fellow Nations of the West are standing up to the root of the cause.

You mean our establishment and elected representatives, Saudi are friends with benefits at this conjecture, we can protest strongly with the means, we as individuals possess.  Better to say something than nothing. Winston Churchill spoke out against Nazi Germany another friend with benefits at the time, at the same time our establishment and elected representatives lent and wine and dined to this evil state,  Churchill was derided right up to Germany annexing countries.

Reading between the lines, the French attack seems to be more personal than terrorist.  But the killer had the gumption and planning to try and make it look terrorist related.  Premeditation of the crime and then some.

I would have thought the same until I came and worked in KSA, believe it or not the majority of the people I come in contact with are very normal, yes they fast during Ramadan, pray etc, but they don't hate us, they want a better life as like most sensible people.

They may have draconian laws, but it's their country and TBF you don't see any low level crime, most of it is "white collar" fraud etc, praying on people who by and large are just normal working people.

They spent a vast amount of money on combating "terrorism", approx 250k USD for 1 terr, 2 is 1M and onwards and upwards. I am not saying it is a great place to live and some laws are plain wrong.

They have extremists wanting to overthrow the government as well, probably of their own making also.

Most of the people are normal, this won't change whatever the regime. I thought jdevil and myself were debating KSA and its Government.
