I think that’s for a different thread, but the IHRA definition of anti-Semitism is already in place for Labour. The issue, as far as I understand it, is that they’ve re-worded some of the working examples, specifically those relating to the State of Israel, and they suggest that people can be critical of the actions of the state without being called anti-Semitic. Clearly that’s not acceptable to some groups of people, but I still don’t see how it’s anti-Semitic to criticise a State (not a religion)?
However, someone apologising is just words. If Corbyn is an anti-Semite and his party is rife with the same, what good do words do and why is it enough to just say what people want to hear? |
