Thanks, I have to agree with you and you're quite right to bring it to my attention - I was focused on Israel's past successes concerning African Jews and not on current affairs.

The fairly recent rise of the right, and in some cases the extreme right, has clouded their politics and the link in your post highlights that point.

Some elements in the Israeli government now match the extreme views in some Arab governments. Organised religion strikes again and drags everything down.

Slightly OT, but you've broken a fundamental tenet of AV Forums politics discussions.  Never point out the bad things that the British Empire did.  I expect at least one response talking up the positives within hours
