Why? Why those two? What drew you to raise their profile in particular on here?

I don't believe you even have an explanation.

And as for the "always resort to snide remarks aimed at those posting" WTF are you on about? Always? Really?

That one is up to nature, not Trump.  Even the POTUS can't change which gender gives life.

Again, the POTUS isn't responsible for the tenets of religion.  Suppression of women's rights is far more prevalent in Islamic states than in the US.  What other rights are denied women in America?

With any luck the idiot will get voted out next year.  In the meantime I just think its better to engage with him, and criticise what he actually says and does rather than just indulge in banners and boycotts and try to look good by pretending to be a feminist.

Anyone protesting during the actual D-day events should be ashamed of themselves.

Of course they are free to do so, but I'll be free to call them selfish morons for detracting from what should be a sombre moment for reflection.

Protests at other times are of course legitimate. But I take the view that it is the POTUS who is here, as the fairly elected representative of the American people. I don't like the man, but respect the office and the country he represents.

No-one said POTUS does.

Again no said POTUS does. Islamic states have nothing to do with the actions of American states or the USA.

I don't see the problem with both engagement/criticism and boycotts/protests.

My feeling is that Trump has no place at any war commemoration, and the movement against his state visit should have led with that. This draft dodging snowflake who cried off a WWI centenary memorial ceremony in France last November because of rain, who insulted war hero John McCain over being captured, is such a delicate petal who required the USS John S. McCain (named for the late senator's grandfather and father, and subsequently him, a month before he passed) be moved out of sight on his very recent Japan visit.

Yep, the D-Day events themselves should be left alone by protestors.

And you have presented the other side of the coin, so to speak.  Trump, the "man".

Can't the legislation both intend to protect the life of the foetus whilst also diminishing the right of the woman to choose whether or not to carry that pregnancy to term?  Given some anti-abortion legislation even forbids it in cases of rape or incest, that surely suppresses women's rights?

I'd agree.  But as has been mentioned its the office of the POTUS that needs to attend, despite it's odious incumbent.
