That isn't quite the case.
There are various groups that oppose the BNP for instance. It isn't a group that acts alone while the rest of the white British community passively sits by. In previous generations we had anti-facist groups that stood against Mosely and his thugs.
Are there any similar groups for Muslims to oppose the militants and extremists?
I don't think the onus should be on any individuals to act, but the fact that the Muslim community as a whole does not seem to be tackling the extremists is creating ill feeling.
The government can't fix that for them, other than to deal with any illegal acts. The response needs to come from within the Muslim community. |
