I already told you that I did, and in fact still am. These are short comments, there is no excuse for not properly reading them.

My gosh you are confrontational for someone who has been quiet for 15 years and lurking in the shadows.

You said you did some work at a place in the Netherlands. That is not necessarily the same as living and working there. Also you didn’t say when it was. As I highlighted that was happening before freedom of movement came for a long time already.

Look in the mirror. In any case, you are just trying to change the subject now.

One of the other big problems with the Irish border, at least for xenophobic brexiteers wanting to end freedom of movement, is that as long as it remains open it's a "backdoor" into the UK for anyone from Europe. In fact a lot of British people use it as a "backdoor" into the UK for their own families already, our immigration system being as inhumane and basically evil as it is.

Why soften my language when it's true? Look at the Windrush scandal, people actually died because of that. And May's "go home" vans. Families torn apart, British citizens who haven't even been able to meet their children in some cases.

The Home Office is evil because it only cares about getting the numbers down to the promised "tens of thousands", which itself was evil because it's an arbitrary figure that takes no account of people's needs. For example, there are around 85,000 family reunions a year, and that's not enough, so clearly that promise requires ruining many lives just to satisfy some gammon faced Daily Mail readers.

So I am an immigrant, why would there be a need for a family reunion? It was my choice to go here (and 17 other countries), then it’s also my choice to leave my family behind. Or make the appropriate arrangements that they come along with me, as we are doing at the moment.

And those were EU originating migrants, combined with an open invite from Germany causing a lot of trouble. So a bit different that what was being discussed in the previous few posts which was non-EU migration....

Have you read any of he coverage of the Windrush scandal?

Also British citizens should have a right to be with their families, especially their children.

"Horde" has negative connotations. Also "flood". Describing people as part of a "horde" tends to make people antagonistic towards them.

I say this as someone who has had bricks through the window from some racist arsehole.
