There will be no more survivors.  The search for bodies or rather their remains has barely started, which is why the firemen are still running round the clock shifts

It's down to Ministers to act on reports, sign off on releasing reports and answer questions in Parliament. I know full well what the Civil Service does (no civil service country grinds to a halt),I  know a few current and former civil servants. One of whom had direct dealings with Number 10's political unit.

Oh dear.  Yes, it's obvious what happened  .   Establishing who is ultimately responsible will take rather longer than watching a few mobile phone videos.

No point blaming anyone, the refit was done to cost and would have met all building regulation codes. If the codes need to be changed then so be it, but you can't go screaming at everyone for a once in a million fire which as I understand started in someone's kitchen on the fourth floor.

I'm still wondering what jobs these people had to be able to afford the apparent £2000 a month rent?

The cladding issue has been a constant concern since the Lakanal House fire findings from 3 July 2009, it is why the grieving and survivors of Grenfell Tower are so angry!

That's the rent someone was charging for a private rental, it's one of the most expensive boroughs in London, that's not representative of the social housing rents.

I would suggest the presence of the Prime Minister in the area could have angered traumatised people.
