So we are paying £20 billion for two years access to the EU? So £10 billion a year? So what we pay every year anyway.

It is actually more than what we paid in 2015...It's stupid, absolutely ridiculous...

Veteran Labour MP Dennis Skinner has spoken to Westmonster about voting against the EU at every opportunity.

Theresa May's speech was a serious let down. Apart from being a load of waffle, what she seems to be saying is she wants a way for the EU to allow us to continue as normal... i.e. we are not actually leaving...
Sorry but she has lost my confidence.

Fine words from TM although nothing really new other than the transition period and reiterating we will honour our financial obligations for the current budget.

I think it will fall on deaf ears though, if this does not start the ball rolling in next weeks Davis/Barnier talks you might as well assume we will get no traction unless we are prepared to be shafted which I am not.

Just like to take this opportunity to thank Theresa May for her speech and her whole cabinet for this EU implementation program, I have feeling it's going to be a good weekend and beyond.

She's never really had mine, but to be fair all she said was lets have a two year transition period during which nothing will change, but at the end of the 2 years we will definitely leave. Pretty pointless, just kicking the can down the road.

Point is, this does nothing to address this so called divorce bill, the 10 billion a year is just normal contributions, nothing to do with leaving. Can't see how this moves anything forward.

Well I'm glad the speech cleared that up then. It's no longer a transitional arrangement, it's now an implementation period. Just need to know what she's planning to implement now.

All joking aside, she was almost as impressive today as she was in her election campaign.

There is no end game, no mention of an end game. Nothing.

So nothing has changed - still in transition mode because no implementation was mentioned.
