The main problem being that there is no viable solution to the Brexit problem that will suit every Brexiteer because they all voted for different solutions to a mess of mostly false problems. e.g. While the current deal is all about the free passage of goods, most Leavers were concerned with the free passage of immigrants. Currently they are pouring in without any checks at all via Dublin, Belfast and Scotland. See: - Cross-Channel migrants 'switch to Ireland'

The EU system is what Hitler envisioned.  Stay at your peril.  Ultimately you will lose democratic rights and be ruled by an elite caste who will become generational.

Thank you for your insightful input.  That is not why most people on here who voted leave did so.

It is absolutely correct and that is what I meant to say in the first place. My mistake for not adding "support or not" to the sentence.

However whilst May spent years trying to formulate and pass her deal I do not understand how Boris has managed to come up in 2 months with a deal which is substantially different to that of May???

If it is clear to you regarding tangled webs then you can be sure it is also clear to the rest of us.

Bearing in mind the USA, UK and other western countries eventually, after a struggle, fought off (cold war) the might of the USSR. There are many on this forum who lived through the cold war.

Also, we are not tearing ourselves apart or making stupid or tragic decisions. The major problem (flaw) under discussion is that no decisions are being made, except the decisions to delay, delay, delay and delay again. Thereby lies the weakness.

In a nutshell he is a better negotiator. The EU had said all along May's deal was final and could not be changed. Along comes Boris... the EU knew he was serious. They changed their tune.
A lot of May's deal remains of course, but the significant bit... the part that got it rejected in the Commons was the backstop. Boris has removed the important condition that until the EU agreed with the UK's proposal on the NI border issue we would have to remain in the EU.

I know a lot of people won't like me saying this (class issue ? ) but Boris is the better person and with a commitment to do something tries his best. May was hopeless, and if Corbyn ever took charge the EU would simply run rings around him.

Its just unfortunate May lost the Tory majority over the dementia tax and fox hunting!  Total incompetence on her part. That's why we have a parliament that consists of a lot of self interest groups who are not for one moment respecting the 2016 vote.

Simple - Boris wants to leave and May wants to remain.

If your aims are different then the deal you accept will be different.

What do you mean don’t know anything about? I read it. Are you saying you didn’t?

Considering we aren’t at the deal stage yet as you highlight yourself, then what is the problem? If and when you get to a deal and the deal is no good then we should just have no deal. Not a complicated concept I would have thought.
