Well, we'll find out how reasonable it is when Action Comics #1 hits my pull list - Midtown Comics are selling the Jim Lee variant cover for $4.25 here, so if I get charged £12.99 for it, that's quite a significant mark-up...

Does that mean we'll end up with a new thread for each of the 52 titles? If so, I'd suggest sticking to this thread and chucking spoiler tags around stuff...

The next question is one thread for all titles or one thread per title as not to stray off the topic on to different ones each time, I'm not sure 52 new threads for each one might be a good idea?

I think we should have one where we can discuss story lines, and everything without having to use spoilers, this one can be used to discuss anything involved without diving in to the actual story and requiring annoying spoilers.

Justice League #1:


So it was a bit of a strange start for me, I was expecting a little more to be honest, I wasn't disappointed but I wasn't wowed like I thought I would be, but as I said, Johns is a slow builder and I'm sure it's going to be an epic.

I really enjoyed the humour, especially GL asking BM what powers he had and then asked him if he was just a guy in a bat suit
Well done GL, nailed it

Anyway, I'm so glad that we know there's going to be a big villain coming in to this, it's going to keep me in it for more episodes for sure.
The art is really nice too, certainly a good start, I just hope they don't keep it so simple for too long. Some of the lines in it were a little silly, like GL talking about his force field... but it's good to see they're being gentle on new readers.

I'd give it a 7/10 (may try to rate all comics I read)

They're not 1:25 variants. 4 - 5 quid for those should be the going price I think. Let me know if you don't mind, it would be interesting to see.

Eek, I forgot subscription emails contain spoilers, that could be one reason for a new thread so anyone wanting to avoid spoilers who is subbed here doesn't get the emails with them in?

Wait, is there a difference between Incentive and Variant? I've never noticed that before....
