Well almost. As my Action Comics 1 was not accepted as being too late, I went to Orbital Comics near Leicester Square tube and picked it up, and another copy for my mate who couldnt wait to see the one I had ordered for him.

No Jim Lee variants sadly, and so headed to Forbidden Planet, where I bought Detective #1 and they still had a little stack of Justice League, so bought that as well. Forbidden Planet had no Jim Lee variants either, but they did have the sketch copy (and I think they had the Justice league sketch as well)......both are £100ea.

I guess they charge you more as you can colour it in yourself which can prove to be good fun. Plus you can put your own quirky twist on the colouring too, I'd say it's worth it

Received my copy of JL #1 combo from Disposable Heroes today with Previews mag, also received my JL#1 standard copy from Forbidden planet today. Both well packed so very happy. Also purchased the variant of Action Comics #1 off of ebay (don't have a local comic shop to try )

Has anyone subscribed direct with DC? just looking on their site and for the comics I have decided to get (11 titles) it works out to $331.51 including shipping to UK which at the moment is £207.39 or the equivalent of £17.28 a month, so works out quite a bit cheaper than buying in the UK.

Don't know how often they ship, of if you would be hit up for tax / duty though

I ordered my Combo pack from FP the other day, but was fretting that I wouldnt get one hence picking up my normal copy today. Does the Combo copy have a different cover? I have the orangy one.
