I can't seem to find any hotspot hacks for kindle (K3 or touch).

Am I S.O.L. ?

I got the cover jailbreak to work and I know what I did wrong last time as well - I had put the cover file in the screensaver folder by mistake.....

I have a kindle fire hd which I only really use for books due to having an iPad

I like he carousel flip view for viewing books but have been told there is a better os available for those who want it just as a book reader

Don't know.  But IMO, buy an e-ink Kindle and sell the fire.  At least you can read it in the sunshine etc.

I have an iPad Air and a Kindle PW for that very purpose.

Bought the father in law a fire a cpl of years ago, even though he had a kindle and an iPad.  He's a gadget geek who doesn't actually know how to use the gadgets.

After seeing my PW, his heart was set on one of those, and he now uses it more than the iPad, Fire etc.
