I tried that app before, and really didn't like it

I found the interface confusing, and didn't like having to reboot my kindle for the changes to take affect

Yep, this is the annoying thing with it. Makes you wonder why Amazon did not release a software interface for it in the first place.

Oh, and 3.2.1 Jailbreak that is not a nightmare to use - I will try this later...

None on both counts (that I have seen) I think the main purpose to jailbreak is for the US to circumvent the advert subsidised Kindles, so for us, it does nothing other than allow the Screensaver folder to be visible to be able to add your own pictures.

I am hoping that the jailbreak then enables other things, such as a better GUI, or the ability to have the screensaver = the current book cover I am reading, something you would think would be an obvious thing to implement within settings. If I was Amazon, I would build into the next firmware settings this:

Screensaver = Custom (use own jpg/png's) / Cover (Shows the cover of the book currently being read) / Original (Dead Author's)

I think Calibre can use a specific book cover as your Kindle screensaver?

I think there is a plug in and I thought I had it installed, but perhaps not configured properly.

Once I read the instruction properly, very easy.

I forgot to run the second update, meaning I spent ages running the same one over and over like an idiot and wondering what I was doing wrong, which turned out to be RTFM.

I applied the jailbreak, but my saved images don't fill the screen.

there is approx a 1cm gap all the way around the picture.
