The slipcase editions of 2 - 5 are readily availble for £30ea (sometimes less) its 1 that is stupidly expensive. That bumped corner version that I mentioned before ended up going for £330.

Yeah shame 1 is so much all the time, I've got a normal 5 from release and a mix of the others but got 2-4 with the white cover in HD to match and the other new version of 1 and might get the slips at some point.

shame i had no money this week but that the way it goes but not bad as the next one is at 125.

Do you think there is a different colour version for each book in this format as I think it might match the blue one for book 1 which we discussed before.

I was going to post the same thing. If you check the bidders a lot of them are zero rated ebayers.

Yup that auction is a nonsense.  They do go for £200-£300 each though...value keeps going up.

On the bidding history someone had it at 330 but with a bid of 800 then someone went in with 820!

So i am currently re-reading A Clash of Kings and quite coincidentally over at www.winteriscoming.net
they are doing a podcast of their read of the book, by chapter.  I am getting a lot more out of the book now after watching to the end of season 3 in the tv series.  I had forgotten how closely they had adapted part of the books, at points.  It is nice when you see whole pieces of dialogue make the transition, a good example is Stannis and the correction of the letter he wants to send out.
