My biggest issue is finding decent narrators.

Americans tend to switch me off instantly, the same with Women.

Although Ready Player one wasn't hampered by this.

Anything read by Paul Thornley generally gets a nod.

Ive been working my way through the Stephen Leather books for the last few months.

So far its been a blast these old story's are nothing but full of great insight & they are very well read, highly recommended if you love your science fiction.

Not Alone (second contact) by Craig A Falconer, as i enjoyed the first book thought i'd give this one a try.

(However, if you only get on with English male narrators stay away )

Finished a stint of about 15 Bernard Cromwell books, thoroughly enjoyed

Now moved back to sci fi

Been many years since I have read Dune so giving the audiobook a go.....wow. This is no normal audiobook, it has a cast of about 10 people voicing characters, incredibly immersive

I'd never contemplated reading/listening to an Archer book, but the first Clifton book was free on Audible.

I had it for over a year before I capitulated and listened.  As you say, hooked from the start.  I listened to the entire series in under a month.

I've not checked out any of Archers other books though.  Have you?  If so, would you recommend any?

Try these series of books....

John Milton Series by Mark  Dawson

Again, I was gripped by book 1, and have read the first 4 in the series back to back.  It's very much a British Jack Reacher.
