Anyone else into Audio Books

I'm slightly confused by audible and kindle/ipod support.

I've bought a couple of audiobooks through amazon for the kindle, which I've copied across to the memory via USB. Play back fine. But is there any way to get them on an ipod too? I know you can get a kindle app for reading on an ipod but not for audiobooks.

In some cases I'd like to listen on the kindle at home, but i'd like to try listening in the car too, and the kindle is a bit impractical for that

Its on Audible.com but you'll have to check if you can get it in your area by logging in first.  I can see it on the site, but if I logon with my account to purchase, it tells me its not for sale in my region (New Zealand).

Had the same problem with Ghost Story by Jim Butcher.  Can't find anywhere online that lets me buy the audiobook using my New Zealand account.  I even emailed the publisher directly and they replied telling me they haven't licensed it for sale in New Zealand, so i told them I can get it easily from "other sites" but if you dont want my money then fine

Just finished listening to World War Z on my Walkman. It's pretty good. Starts a bit slow but eventually picks up and gets pretty interesting. Its basically a set of interviews all acted out by different actors including Mark Hamill who was great. I got it on mp3 format. It comes in 93 parts which was nice as it was easy to listen to in bite sized chunks on my lunch break, traveling, etc. Its going to be interesting to see how the movie turns out!

My father in law recommends A Song of Ice and Fire series, read by Roy Dotrice.  I have never got into Audiobooks, but may do as i am getting bored listening to the radio on my way into work.

If anyone likes learning via audiobooks I'd *highly* recommend the Teaching Company lectures. They're taught by some of the worlds leading professors on a wide variety of topics (British Empire, dark matter, religion, maths, poetry, anthropology etc) I've days worth to get through still - they range from 12 to 60ish lectures per course, 30 to 60 mins per lecture - but they help keep me sane during my 10 hr runs Anyone else into the ttc?

The next Harry Dresden book   Seriously, keep going with them and listen in one long order, they are flipping fantastic!  Only downside I have so far is the latest one, Ghost Story, they have changed the narrator so its really hard getting used to different voices now.

Hands down the best series of books I've read/listened too.

I've heard the Hunger Games are supposed to be good too?
