Slightly off topic, but I remember struggling trying to pay for fuel with my UK issued Amex in Florida at the pump in the boondocks st 3.00am and my postcode format didn’t follow the zip code options which I had to key in.
UK is different. France especially has a lot of unmanned pumps. And petrol stations in Italy close for 2 hours between 12 noon and 2pm, so if you need fuel, you need a proper credit card or hang around until they open
i've been using the revolut card and can't fault it so far
a couple of places didn't accept it but i had my credit card as a backup
the problem i am having is remembering PIN numbers!
i've already had to order a reminder for my main card as i was using the revolut and it just went from memory
the only limitation with the revolut is 200 cash withdrawals a month (fee free)
always nice to have a bit of cash and 200 is normally more than enough though
