Debit cards or alternative in Greece

Need some advice please....usually go AI across nice places in European resorts after spending most of the previous decade travelling to and from the US.

Going to Zante on a room and breakfast basis next month and want help understanding about the best way to spend locally;

Got around £800.00 in sterling initially plus a Halifax Clarity credit card as a back up. Do I leave the sterling on my UK debit card or transfer or € or transfer it to a card like Revolut?

I’m keen not to pay any/many fix charges but want the security high too.

I think Revolut would be your best option.

I ordered the Revolut card and it’s been in my wallet and forgotten about, is it a case of loading it with Sterling and then off you go?

Yep, I think it's 0.5% flat fee on the weekends

App downloaded and had a play transferring into and back out of €, seems great and Apple Pay supported too.

No worries, going to use it when I go to Amsterdam next month, with regards to withdrawing cash it is free upto £200 then 2% there after.
