To be honest I’m quite sceptical about it being automatically implemented as well!
I just want it fixed . It’s still variable on my car. One minute it sets the route quickly then next it takes over a minute.
If they release a new map at least I’m still within my 2 year map subscription period so it won’t cost me. That’s no consolation to those who would need to pay though sadly!
I’ve had the late turn instructions on a couple of times and use my nav at least twice a day.
I do get the nav being unresponsive , for example trying to cancel a route just doesn’t work for a a few minutes or trying to change the route setting . If I turn off the RTTI it’s all fine and works perfectly !
I am getting RTTI issues in my 5 series. The sat nav is not slow as it is still running 2017-1 but the RTTI system is almost useless with roads not showing any colour symbols etc.
Amulos, what method are you using to contact BMW to get the "Social Media Team" please?
Updated mine to 2018 maps last week and had no problems at all, I do not however use RTTI although because of this thread I did try it yesterday but did not notice any difference
I Dm them on Twitter. My RTTI when the nav is responsive is very good - colour coded roads and dynamic routing . But it’s very slow to respond to input.
I'm afraid due to the scale of the issue, we don't have a definitive time frame as to when RTTI services will be back to normal.
We have had a number of customers saying that they've got full functionality back, but there hasn't been any pattern as to which customers are resolved first.
I am truly amazed really that first the Connected Drive website was off the air for weeks if not months, then this RTTI scandal.
Surely you would have thought that a company as big as BMW would have have higher expectations of their own service level agreements and get these things fixed sooner.
TBH i don’t have faith in anything BMW say. They’ve been “working on” the BMW Routes issue since Sept ‘17 and all they can say is “it’ll be fixed sometime in 2018 sir”
I managed to get my Connected Drive services extended free of charge until 4th Jan 2020 though.
