First time I've seen him. What's his grappling like? Can we expect him to get dry humped when he runs into the likes of Maynard & co? I hope not, very excited to see him lighting people up again. Seems like a nice bloke too.

Striking us definitely his bread and butter, but he's decent on the ground too from what I've seen and heard. A lot of people (me included) were curious to see how he did against Dave Hill for the Cage Warriors FW title. Hill may not be UFC calibre but he's a solid grappler with a good record and most of his wins by submission. McGregor submitted him with a RNC in the second round.

McGregor also trains a lot with Gunner Nelson.

I suspect the UFC will steer him clear of wrestlers for a few more fights. He's very marketable and could be a real contender so no sense rushing him into someone like Guida just yet. As with most fighters from the UK and Ireland, wrestling is aka ways going to be the suspect area. Time will tell. I'm just going to join the rest of the country in enjoying the fact that we have a top level fighter in the UFC and looking promising. Hopefully Pendred will be next up.

I thoroughly enjoyed the nights fights too.
I was really looking forward to seeing McGreggor fight after Dr.Phil posted a highlight video of him earlier this year. He looks so promising.

Loved Meathead, Madasi and Pearsons performancces too.

I said Maynard because I wasn't sure what weight he's fighting at. In the post fight presser he entertained the idea of fighting at 145 or 155. He should defo stay at 145 if it's not too difficult for him then.

Agree, 145 is the place for him. He's just the kind of ballsy guy who'd fight Jones on a weeks notice if he was asked to!
