I cant help feeling what a waste of time, money and opportunity this is . The whole thing is totally unrealistic and does not give you a proper historical insight into the technical genius of the man. Quite frankly this could have been a made up drama about anybody. The casting, the dialogue and the acting is way off the mark and does not recreate the atmosphere of the period at all. The dialogue is not contemporary and the accents are mixed. Why do some people speak with Mediterranean accents and others with English public school boy accents : all with dialogue that is drawn from modern day culture which is completely unbelievable and unrealistic. What a dreadful mess. I think Aidan is totally mis cast in this role. He lacks sincerity , expression, emotion and dare I say any real acting ability. Everything is so lacking in drama and period reality. A very poor, superficial, adulterated and modernised attempt at something that could and should have been brilliant .Like I said. A completely wasted opportunity.
