I've just about made it through the opening episode and, even excusing how far this is from the truth of Leonardo's time as an apprentice, it's still a cringeworthy piece of crap with some super dodgy acting (and wandering accents) going on. For the sake of some cheap conflict (drama) the showrunners felt they had to make Leonardo a naif and Verrocchio a dick to begin with but the idea Leonaedo's style was unknown to his master or being taught about light individually is just too absurd... and making Leonardo apparently predominantly heterosexual is petty disingenuous. Just about everything about this is ridiculous. It feels like it's made for teenagers.
