This is my first review which I felt compelled to write as I so enjoyed this series. I finished watching last night and still cannot stop thinking about it. Over four weeks I have been transported to a magical world and I am heartbroken not to be going back. At first I did not think I would enjoy the murder plot but now I have seen the whole thing I accept it was a strong way to visit the facts of the great Leonardo da Vinci's life. I cannot fault the performances, they were all superb but Matilda De Angelis was dazzling. It was refreshing to see a love story between a man and a woman that did not depend on sex. Most of all I was fascinated by the stories surrounding each work of art that we are so familiar with. Every episode kept me hooked and was stunning to look at. I have not enjoyed, been so immersed in or enriched by a television programme like this for a very long time.
