It is dishonest for people who are affiliated with a film/production, and/or derive financial gain from it, to give glowing reviews; but such appears to be the case here. All but one of the positive reviews of this show were done by people who have reviewed nothing else on IMDb, and appear to have signed up specifically to give this review: a fairly good indicator that they are from people (or a single person with multiple email accounts) who is affiliated in some way with the production.
On the other hand, the reviewers who scored this crap low, have a long history on IMDb with several reviews.
I suppose that there is no way to keep production staff from impersonating honest reviewers; but IMDb readers should be suspicious. As for me, I couldn't even finish the first episode. The story line is tired, the writing is boring, and I found nothing in this "comedy" that evoked even a smile.
