Good Bluetooth Sport Headphones

So, the Watch is here and I'd really like some bluetooth headphones. At the moment, I use some basic £20 sport headphones, for one very simple reason: they stay in my ears. I am not sure whether I have freakish ears, but normal in-ear headphones simply don't stay in my ears, whether working our or just sitting. They quickly work their way loose. So, my ranking my criteria from most to least important

1. Over ear hooks - mandatory
2. Secure fit / wearing glasses not a problem
3. Sound quality - I just need to hear some music
4. Price - don't care

I tried some PowerBeats 2 in the Apple Store. Total garbage - they seam to be designed to just rest on your ear and fell out just tilting my head slightly. Not sure if there was some knack to fitting them I wasn't aware of (or the person demoing them wasn't aware of).

Any suggestions / thoughts gratefully received.

Im on the same mission as you!

I really like the earbuds that come with the iphone but rubbish for running with.

So far I've tried in ear ones and i hate it when im running all i can hear is my feet hitting the ground because of the pressure they create in my ear.

Then i tried these as theyre similiar but without the in ear bit more of an earbud but the remote on the side is a nightmare an swung all over the show.

so i think i'm resigned to over the ear ones.

These seem to be the best ones so far.

If you get a tight seal with the headphones, then yes, you get a sickening "thunk, thunk, thunk" as you run which is truly awful - and you can't hear anything, which is not safe. The headphones need to sit in ear without creating too tight a seal.

I'd be interested in a pair too.

Out of interest, anyone just ran with the Watch and bluetooth earphones yet, and no iPhone? Impressions/experience would be great. As I'm ideally wanting to do that eventually.
Looking at the net, the distance seems pretty spot on with the Apple Watch and no iPhone. Just miss out on the map data I suppose.

Here's a tweet I saw:

"This is how accurate the #AppleWatch is for running, even when using it without its paired iPhone for GPS. http://t.co/Wjy2uPvd3w"

I've just ordered these on Amazon, they look ideal. Only concern was the band at the back being solid and getting nudged when lying down doing sit ups for example but the first review says its very flexible.

Yes. It's supposed to be pretty good and if you only want the calories / workout, then it's great for running. As someone who has stopped running for time and taking the GPS watch, the Apple Watch is a great compromise. I haven't tried without my phone, but maybe I'll take the Apple Watch and GPS Watch just for giggles and see how close they are.

For those who still want the accuracy of GPS, then firstly, nothing beats a GPS Watch - those RunKeeper type apps on your phone only sample GPS. This means your route may get slightly smoothed out and if you're serious about times, can make a few seconds difference on pace per mile (the phone will make you seem slower, as it cuts corners, making distance covered shorter in the same time period). GPS watches keep a lock. You can see every detail of your run with perfectly accurate timing.

Lastly, if you do want to keep running with the phone with you (or want to do so a few times for calibration), this clever little holder is a) cheap and b) secure and comfy even for larger phones. No stupid velcro too tight / too loose and device agnostic. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00I788TLY?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00

Cool - let us know how you get on. They have good reviews (and not many negative ones, compared to many others I viewed, which is a good sign) and am curious.

I have ordered the magical hat from indiegogo. Would be magic, if it worked. Nothing on ears, still get music.
