I bought the MPows and came to the conclusion bluetooth and running headphones just doesn't work for me. The extra weight, charging and fiddling around syncing/pressing buttons on your ear doesn't seem ideal, but would be interested if someone does find some good ones.

Gone back to my trusty Sennheiser PMX and armband for my phone. Having the watch saves all the hassle of fiddling with the phone and PMX is the perfect design for me.

Another option is to buy a clip on Bluetooth receiver they work reasonably well and you can use normal headphones. If the watch had GPS this is what I'd use but I like the extra accuracy and details you get with the phone.

Clip on Bluetooth receiver? Got any examples?

Loads on Amazon and eBay and various mobile related shops.

I have one that's about 5 years old and takes a single AAA battery which does the job, think it cost around a tenner off ebay. Newer ones have better sound quality and built in batteries. Same tech as the bluetooth headphones, but with a jack so you can plug any headphone in.

Wow thats really good, i was resigned to taking my phone along with me for runs, but maybe i dont need to.

Would this be the same if using Strava and not the built in app do you know?

I'm trying the Bluetooth adaptor so I can use my own headphones, looks compact.

I believe you need to take the phone with you for third party apps.

Well, everyone needs to report back on their purchases.

My magical hat is due sometime in May, so will report on (t)hat, too.

My mate sent me a link to these. Can't imagine them being great, but only £12 delivered.
