I just tried it on my original Watch running WatchOS 3.0. There was no music on it, I created a playlist on the iPhone, synced it, turned my phone off completely, and was able to play the music from the Watch via Bluetooth.

But did you start music on the watch and then turn the phone off? Or did you turn the phone off and then start music on the watch?

Missus is away on training so I'm doing the shopping. Can anyone recommend an app that I can write a shopping list on my macbook/iphone and then view it on the apple watch?
Cheers all.

We use an app called "Shopper". It syncs across our phones so we can both add to the list as needed throughout the week. I think they have a Watch add on but think it's a yearly subscription along with a few other extras.

Just had a look and the Shopper subscription is £9 a year :/
I saw an app called Pantry Manager for £3 that seems to do the same thing, I might give it a go.

Thanks for the suggestion. Looked at it on the App Store, it might be free for what I want to use it for, but then I stumbled across something called Wunderlist which looks good so will give that a shot.

It's best to turn Bluetoothoff on the phone if you run without it. That way it won't try to use the GPs or music on it when near your house.
