Does the aluminium watch generally scratch under normal use i.e - rubbing against jacket/jumper sleeve or if your attempting to clean fingerprint marks off with a cloth, or using it while exercising etc.

Would like a screen protector but don't like the halo left around the edges with the ones that don't cover the full screen, have also read the full face protectors peel at the sides after a while.

Just checked my grey aluminium watch, which I've been using for just over 4 days and I can't see a mart in it.I suspect it may be easier to mark than the more expensive/heavier steel model though if it rubbed against something rough.

I find WatchOS 3 very stable and fast. Much better than 2.x on my original Watch.

Fair enough, maybe my new phone has a fault, hence why Runtastic refused to start without a phone connection.

Stiggy Publish time 2-12-2019 06:30:06

It's more likely that Runtastic hasn't updated their Watch app to recognise the new internal GPS.

Found a bug

Started my music playing from the memory on my watch, went outside to start my run and when the watch lost connection to my phone which was still in the house the music stopped. Only to get it playing again was to go back through the menu and reselect the music

Stiggy Publish time 2-12-2019 06:30:07

Are you 100% sure the music was synced to the Watch and you selected the Watch as the source?

daymouse Publish time 2-12-2019 06:30:08

Yup did the sync last night and defo selected Watch as source at the start. I will keep an eye on it next time I go gym prob tomorrow and see what happens.

ruffage Publish time 2-12-2019 06:30:08

Give it a reboot but I'd point the finger of blame at buggy software, not the hardware.

daymouse Publish time 2-12-2019 06:30:08

Oh yeah defo a software bug.

My thought is even though you select the source as Watch if the phone is in reach it is stream from that instead then when it gets too far away it can't stream anymore. Just an idea anyway.
