Lenovo Tab 4 8inch and 10inch Plus
Anyone else here own this tablet? Picked it up the weekend, cracking bit of kit, a lot faster than I expected coming from a lenovo tab 3 8inch. Sound quality is excellent with the dual front firing speakers and the screen is quality. Was going to wait but seeing as it dropped by £50 I couldn't resist.

I'm considering a move from IPad as they are crazy money now It was £200 from Argos, it seems most places now have dropped it from £250 which I still think is good for the spec.
Still can't get over how fast it is, not too heavy in the hand either.
As you say for anything similar from Apple you're looking at £350brand new from what I could see at places I shop I was frustrated not knowing how to get rid of the Alexa icon on my tablet, figured it out now. Annoyed I didn't find it earlier, not like me.

https://www.avforums.com/attachments/screenshot_2017-10-01-14-44-08-083-jpeg.918302/ Got the Lenovo yoga tablet 3 plus, very recently.Superb screen, 25501600very bright, brilliant colours, very clear ...well with that resolution over 10 inches it would be.Every thing I wanted in a tablet I wanted one with at least full hd so as to read newspapers without zooming and shifting.. this does the business.. The battery life is a full day .. they say 18 hrs and this is probably correct. Uses a type c usb, .. unfortunately as it means that older kit don't work without an adaptor, but this allows it to charge up pretty fast ... About 2 hrs
Some people suggest not good for games .. well maybe, don't know, don't care every thing else is ace.
Currys have them at around 250 STL.
The only confusing bit is that Lenova stick the yoga name on a pile of completely different devices ... some tablets , some laptops , some android and some windows. Someone in Lenovo is a yoga addict.
The one I am talking about is the one with a Snapdragon 652 chip. .. other ones don't have the hi Res screen.
I am becoming a Lenovo fan.. they make good kit.
I don't see why anyone would get the tab 4 in preference to this unless they needed the smaller screen.Thescreen is better resolution on the yoga , the chip is the same , the only feature added to the tab 4 is a fingerprint scanner and a radio. Glad you're liking it! I know what you mean, they do make their model names a tad confusing!
I was tempted by the 10inch but for me I like a slightly lighter more portable tab that slips in my bag.
Great little devices though, although mine has been slightly buggy very recently, a few crashes here and there. Hey OP
Tempted to pull the trigger on the Tab 4 Plus? How you been you finding it. I read that a full reboot can corrupt the SD Card....seen anything like that? Hey Danny, I was finding the tablet great until a couple of weeks ago it kept crashing for some reason. Argos were great and swapped no problems at all so got a new one, so far it's been as good as the first originally was which is a relief.
Can't comment on the SD card as I haven't had need for one for my use but everything else has been great, weird crashes on the first aside.
Aaron Thanks for the quick reply! Sounds good, can't beat the no questions Argos swap policy
I plan on mainly playing h.265 content which my old Nexus 7 can't handle any more, I'm hoping the processor in this one can...plus the additional inch in size will be nice.
Cheers No worries, yes I agree! Wasn't like that when I had TV issues 8 years ago, Argos were a pain so was really pleased with how good they were this time around!
I can't see why it won't, I'm guessing there are apps ona the app store with video players for different codecs? It's such a fast device, the dual front facing speakers are so crisp and the screen detailed and colours really nice. There's a cool Dolby atmos app on the tablet that really shows the speakers off, honestly does sound very full and multi directional.
