I`m all over the Quest I have about £300 in amazon vouchers from work awards.
This will be great fun in the summer for parties etc in the garden.

And a friend has told me that would also be great for VR Porn. Apparently. But probably best not to watch that in the garden unless you're throwing one of THOSE sort of parties lol data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Not sure I'd trust myself in the garden.
Lots of uneven ground, flower beds, overhanging trees, branches, bird feeders.
Not to mention the fecking cats and squirrels. They've been waiting years for any sign of vulnerability.
Recipe for disaster if you ask me.

Almost every headset is good for VRP. A friend told me.
Now if they could just make it work with 6dof, my friend would be excited. Maybe that lightfield tech will one day make it possible.

Think you need a perfectly level floor space to play VR; otherwise, you're going to be levitating and disappearing into the floor. Not many garden spaces are level, even patios are built with a gentle incline.

Not sure how I feel about this. Its good to have some curation and I understand the comparison of Quest / ROFL-S to console / PC. But knowing that cross compatibility between Quest and ROFL-S is pretty much mandated it feels like the ROFL-S owners are just beta testers for the Quest.

It hasn't done the Rift any harm so far. You still have to have anything passing Standards Testing to be allowed in the Rift Store. If your game isn't good enough, if your game is too buggy or if your game doesn't pass the Oculus VRC (Virtual Reality Checklist), which is mainly performance related, then it won't be allowed in the Rift Store either.
Any developers struggling to pass Submission for the Oculus Store should get their game or app on Steam instead because the standards are much lower.
Curating a store is NEVER a bad thing.

This is a good point I never thought of. I think a few inches will be ok for most games on your feet........ you will just grow /shrink a tiny bit but over the course of my garden the incline is probably 4 or 5 feet. Bummer as that is my area which is massive and I think you are right unless the guardian system is upgraded to be able to map the incline as well.
My patio is still fairly big mine you, about 5m x4mwith only a couple of obstacles unlike my man cave
Regarding curation... So long as Devs are not encouraged to cut down games on rift OR that curation stops allowing games due to too scary or something I think it is good that quest only has games which are well made and high quality on.
