Trying to make up my mind which BIOS to use out of the one in this thread and the one mentioned in the following thread - http://www.avforums.com/forums/15113684-post355.html (Is that the Russian one?)

Is this only the latest HP BIOS or is this a modified version of the latest HP BIOS?

Right, installed the BIOS update on my MicroServers yesterday and the 4/5th SATA port now definitely works as SATA but im still concerned that in the BIOS post it still says IDE Hard Disk as per my pic below?!

Is everyone getting this and is there a way to test in Windows 2k8 R2 that the drives are running as AHCI and not IDE??

                                                                                                                                        /proxy.php?image=http://ngb.rob2k.co.uk/pics/bittech/hpbios.jpg&hash=2a2527ecd9cff60d7757fb3253e2cbe3

Did you enter bios and make the appropriate changes?

coolamasta Publish time 2-12-2019 04:37:56

Yes its set to ACHI in the BIOS as opposed to IDE or RAID which is why its strange, or is it supposed to read like that in the BIOS? TheBay?   I don't care what the BIOS says as long as Windows is seeing ACHI mode etc... data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Mine shows same. Once they are AHCI you should get them showing in the eject device icon (where USB drives normally show). Mine do (but HP N40L).
