Thanks!I can't believe it's got to 1000 posts! It was a couple of AVF members who got me onto unRAID in the first place, but I can't remember who they were to thank again data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I am getting to the point where I need to build a NAS and am going to follow what you have done with a little less storage!!! Welll done!!!

Wow this thread has gone very quiet! Nearly a year on from my build and everyhthing (but the writing speed) is going perfectly. The writing speed has gone weird. Where I used to get a constant 42mb/s the speed has been dropping until now it keeps bouncing up and down from 24mb/s to 52mb/s.

Happy with mine too data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7Need 4 more drives to reach max capacity (16 currently), but looking at the prices now....the words sod that spring to mind data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7Don't really need them either...

I am thinking of changing my setup entirely so that I can use 10 x 3tb drives in a Fractal Design R3 case. The reason for this that the Xcase RM420 is big and ugly and takes up alot of space. I currently am using 15 x 2tb drives.

Has anyone managed to use 3tb drives without any other sizes hdd on their Unraid?

i read unraid supports 3tb drives fine.As long as you upgrade your parity drive first it wont cause a problem Parity drive always has to be bigger than any other drive.

I'm a bit out of the loop on unRAID now since I've not needed anything after completing my build.I need a couple more HDDs now but I've noticed some have already dropped in price. Can anyone comment as to whether either of these two drives are ok (I'm running unRAID Pro v4.7).
