I am happy with my TV which reportedly has 8.3m zones. Experts claim each pixel on my TV can turn on/off just like 1 2=3=(30000/1000*3/30).data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I would be worried if an OLED owner wasn't happy. Lol

MicroLED vs Mini-LED: What's the difference?

Matson Publish time 1-12-2019 22:08:59

I would be worried if any owner who has bought a recent TV wouldn't be happy otherwise why do you have it. Its the reason for all forum bias and any bad word said against your tv usually gets some kind of negative or defensive comment in return. Having a Q900R the only real negative I currently have is I wish it had the amount of zones the Q9S prototype had at CES. Between 10000-20000. That would have for me put this TV in a class of its own at the moment. Blacks that would rival OLED and wouldn't need the dimming that it does with bright objects on dark scenes. If we get to the point where Mini LED's have thousands and thousands of zones will we even need Micro LED as pointed out earlier if you can't tell the difference with your own eyes then its probably not even needed.

People are forgotten the real qled

Goldorak Publish time 1-12-2019 22:09:01

Thank you for reminding me about the Q9s, looks like based on the below attached:
- 75 mini led on approach
- Samsung bought lots of mini led and investing in other companies
- these companies building production capacity
- q9fn and Q9s are testing grounds alongside the q9 8k
- 5-6 customers cited in articles, that’s tv manufacturers. Not bad. Wonder if pana or Sony there but usually latter plays solo (cledis or just focus on oled and Normal fald)
- 2019 may be tight for 65 and 55 but we never know...just boosting zones to 1200 with new ai on 4k could do wonders (plus reviewing the algorithm a bit).

Samsung to launch a 75" Micro-LED TV in 2019 based on PlayNitride's chips?

Goldorak Publish time 1-12-2019 22:09:01

Nope we didn’t but I put it in same bag as micro led...something to come in 3-4 years at a half descent price !!! (No need to sell your kidney or play gigolo type of tvprices) data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
Mini led is here and definitely a 2019/20.
