I hear that Sky Sports are making one.Would be nice to ask Alexa for the scores. Will be better when Amazon open up push notifications, she can then tell you without asking her.

not something i've looked into yet, primarily will be used for hue, nest, harmony I hope.
Just noticed there is a whole new range of hue lighting on the way, not just bulbs but full ceiling, wall lights, motion sensors, spots etc.

They do appear expensive, the bulbs are 50 quid though and they all seam to come with a dimmer switch, still probably cheaper to buy the bulbs and put them in a 3rd party light, especially if you don't want/need the dimmers.
I've can't really see the need for those connected plug adapters, there are very few things that turn on without some sort of standby or secondary power switch requirement. Christmas tree lights aside, what other devices do people use them for?

Seen people say they use it for their fish tanks, Kids TV. Lamps and their wifi router for re-boots.I guess that if you did not have Philips Hue you could turn your lights on and off from an app.

Wifi router reboot, now there is a cracking idea for it, for me especially living in an annexe with my router in the main house next door, im often without internet late at night.
I use a philips hue strip light for my aquarium, works a treat

Might be worth getting one for the router.Had one of those old timers for my fish tank these devices would be a more digital version I guess
I have the strip light on the back of the TV.Looks excellent.Green for the football blends in with the screen nice.

Just had a thought on the router idea, router reboot normally required when its not working, and if it's not working, a wifi based switch isn't going to help much //static.avforums.com/styles/avf/smilies/facepalm.gif
