I don't understand this :-( how can Nokia be so blinkered with this?

superfox Publish time 27-11-2019 22:28:03

Nokia are being really stupid. They are losing a lot of customers(£££££££) because of this exclusive deal with EE. They should be flooding the market with their handsets on all networks if they want to compete with IOS and Android.

As it stands in the UK. The Phones4U sim free phones work on:-

EE
TMobile
Virgin
Orange

The Virgin option is interesting as they do offer unlimited data on PAYG, my wife has a Virgin contract and the coverage is excellent.

Maybe their exclusivity deal with EE is an amazing monetary deal for Nokia. Probably not though!

Bad deal in terms of market penetration and that's what WP8 needs right now.

Super, I am on Virgin and I get a great SIM only deal. I pay less then £10 a month.Do you know if this is the 4G model?

Naaktgeboren Publish time 27-11-2019 22:28:03

All UK 920's are the 4G model. That is the only variant.Obviously you wont get 4G with Virgin for a while but still worthwhile for 3G, surely.

Jakeway Publish time 27-11-2019 22:28:05

I thought there was also a 3G model.... oh well that is good news. I think I will still wait for a deal, I am sure there will be a vouchers or a £50 off or something before Xmas.

Don't forget there is the free wireless charger,on phones bought from Phones4U, claimable from Nokia.

A chap from P4U told me that there are 2 versions of the 920 too? Crafty sales technique maybe?
There was also point of sale in the EE shop in Staines promoting the free charge plate so I don't think the offer is exclusive to P4U.
