yeah figured that out. How do you get extra slots to buy tanks? already bought a tank destoryed, but out of slots Not handing over real money to them.
Ah, ok. You get 5 free slots and that's your lot. If you need more you need to pay.
They sometimes do specials where it is only 150 gold for an extra garage slot. It does make a difference as you get your best money makers all stored.
Need to get back into this now 7.2 is out but all my free time is spent playing around with Skyrim atm.
I do dabble now and again for free but finding I can't afford to play my Tiger II without Prem account as it just doesn't make enough credits.Mainly advancing Tank Destroyers now, got Germain PanzerTgr and a few other low level ones from other countries.They seem to make money most of the time.
What I've found with Prem accounts (when I actually pay!) is that it's cheaper to buy a months worth of Gold but only buy 3 day passes on Friday night to last you each weekend.Then if you can't play one weekend you don't lose out.Only works of course if you are a weekend player like me.
I've so far managed to get 3 free slots for Tanks, once for a Giveaway Premium Light tank that was crap so sold and kept slot and twice for Tank Tree re-orgs where they move a tank to another branch and give you the equivilent tank on the other branch for free.

SPGs do provide a refreshing alternative way to play, although they are the Marmite of the game.
I guess in real life with proper support they're excellent, but it seems most people in WOT are just having a bash and looking out for themselves. also in real life SPG doesn't need to have line of sight, ordered up from troops with co-ordinates. SPG can be behind the front line. WOT is more of a arcade game in this way.
ie a couple of tank destroyers giving support to a heavy tank is better than the tank destroyers trundling around on their own.
another problem cannot sell a tank as barracks are full.
There is an option to dismiss the current crew completely without sending them to Barracks on the sell menu. Apart from that, go through the barracks and check that you actually need the crew members in there.
The new French tanks are fun to play after the first couple or so. I now have an AMX 90 and that is a beautiful little tank. Very fast and manoeuvrable and the quick loading on the French tanks is great. The speed and agility of these tanks really adds a new dimension to the game. I also have finally got an IS3 and am loving it, I think I prefer it to my Tiger2. Oh, one word on Ammo, you MUST use the Armour Piercing stuff most of the time. in my experience, the HE stuff is ineffective against anything with any decent armour at all.
Obviously. High explosive is useful for unarmoured targets such as buildings. Since WOT isn't about urban warfare, and targets are solely tanks and other armoured vehicles use standard or AP shells.
having look for tanks, what a joke £20each plus hand over real money to buy ingame credits. Not a chance. Should be £40 for the game with all unlocked tanks, and then maybe £5 for 10 tanks in DLC like Forza.
also how on earth do you get to afford the 1 million credit tanks? It'll take weeks to collect that or more on the 6 million cred
