Depends how rich you're feeling, if it's cheap enough you could move to z77 if you bought a cpu.

I'd definitely take the 7970 and consider the h80. Don't know much about the keyboard so couldn't say.

Be interested to know which auction he goes to

Think it's just a local one here in Scotland, police acution and business closures and random stuff.Last time he bought pc parts i think he got all the dev pc's from the company that made APB.got this stuff from a shop that had closed and their stuff was getting acutioned off.

The GFX is real tempting, i posted here at the end of the last thread about upgrading my GPU but i made the switch to Nvidia for 3D.

Also would my i7 not work with that mobo?

Chuck Norris Publish time 27-11-2019 04:09:46

The GPU would be a nice little bump

Your i7 wouldn't be compatible with the board and IMO wouldn't be worth switching unless you consider Haswell.

Moldiver Publish time 27-11-2019 04:09:47

If I want a new GPU I'm gonna have to upgrade my case, even though its a good Lian Li case, its ancient and small. The case market is a minefield lol.

I quite like the big door server look but everyone I find is out of stock, the NZXT Phantom 630 looks nice aswell but I've had an aluminium case for so long don't know if I should make the switch.

Anyone suggest anything, looking for size and good air circulation, don't need a huge behemoth but something with enough space to work in.

I could go with flashy looks and stuff but at the end of the day it's gonna be under a desk gathering dust so if I can bring the price from 150 to 100 it wouldn't really bother me.

Ones I've saw NZXT 630, Antec P280, Bit Fenix (don't know if I like all the lights though)

Gonna pop into Kustom Pc's today to have a look at some.

Fractal Define R4.

I have the R3 and love it, although I'm gutted the R4 came out so soon after I bought it!

Fits my Asus HD 7950 which is about 8ft long data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

That's what I'm talking bout, gonna look into this a bit more.

They have quite the cult following actually.

I think because they're cool, quiet, roomy, have good cable management options and are very understated on the looks.

I'm not a fan of the PC cases that look like a Transformers head so they certainly tick all my boxes data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Define XL is very nice too.

Just came across the XL, looks good for me.
