He means when MW2 freezes up and you press the PS button to quit the game, your PS3 will crash and you get those 2 or 3 beeps and it will restart, then you load up MW2 again.
I'm guessing: Game crashes, press power button to reboot the system, it thinks about it for 10 seconds even though we know it's crashed, then 3 beeps, and it shuts down. Press power button again to reboot...

Yep, it's when the game freezes, you keep pressing the PS button in the hope of getting the XMB menu but nothing happens, you sit there like a muppet for a few minutes pressing buttons at random, then eventually give up on it and press the power button on the front ... then it beeps a few times and finally dies. How is it that if I play this game on say Monday night lag seems non existant. I'm quicker on the draw all night. It takes two to three bullets to kill enemy players in my sights and they just drop like flies. If I somehow managed to go the whole game without getting killed from behind i'd get something like a 45 kill streak.(The only games I manage to not get killed from behind are my low scoring ones unfortunately). Then when I play next on say Wednesday that virtually no bullets register even though I am pointing centre of their chest or back and using almost a full clip. Only for them to spin around if they are facing other way and kill me with one bullet?
If I go to speedtest and pingtest I can get a grade A all over the UK and in many places on the continent no matter what day or time I check. I also always play with no other appliances connected to the net so there is no sharing of bandwith while i'm playing.
I'm not great at the game, but if the connection was constant i'm sure my stats would be far better than they are.

That is so true for me too. COD 4 and WaW I never gave a monkeys and always went in like a madman, but having checked my stats on those games recently I still managed a 1:1 K/D ratio. I'm consistently 1:31 on MW2 but probably because for some reason I'm starting to care about it, why?
