Data that needs to be processed in effort to cure diseases is sent to client processors (your ps3). Your client processes the data and uploads the results.
There is so much data that needs to be processed, it is highly beneficial to share the workload among as many clients as possible.
software manages this for you.
Does anyone know how long it will take for them to process all the data needed without the PS3 community? And how much time it would take if say 10% or a ?% of the PS3 community helped.

just select it from the menu with the green triangle its an option then!
d'oh, there should be a sticker on the ps3 that says when in doubt, 'press the triange'.
