Heres something ive been worried about for a while now..... Flying to turkey with the parents at the end of august and worrying about getting this thing through airport security without them needing to ask me about it? They obviously don't know I use one and personally its not a conversation I want to have on a flight on holiday..... Any advice? may be just have to go cold turkey for 3 weeks data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Could you use patches or gum etc?

I agree there should be some form of regulation when it comes to the quality of the product for sale and that systems need to be put in place to safeguard children but going down the pharma route is not the answer, we all know governments are well funded by pharma and deals go on under the table, it's a blinkered approach where no effort is being taken to show the true health benefits of the product, to medicalise it will kill it, people will return to smoking or go underground using products from god knows where.

On a happier note, I got my GP Paps Lux through and a nice new drip tip to set it off.

NRT products still have more dangerous chemicals in than e liquid, plus they are still something that you can become dependent on and patches with some people are a nightmare as they cause various skin conditions.

All they want to do is regulate, tax and make it all more expensive so they can back pocket the extortionate tax they could end up putting on.

They'll have to make food a medicine next, as e liquid only contains chemicals found in food mainly.

My post was in direct reply to GuitarGuy who is worried his parents will find out he vapes, while they are on holiday.

Nothing to do with regulating vaping data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Your right mate, and to touch on the minor aspect, the government sees it perfectly fine for these products to be available to children as young as 12 years old! At least the sale of ecig products online have an 18 policy, the guys who tout for business in a shopping centre should be getting regulated by who ever is giving him his patch!

Well, now that is stupid. What on earth are they thinking data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Doing that would be a gateway to addiction, mine started with fags over a fiver bet that I couldn't smoke one without coughing in army cadets when I was 13.... I won the bet but it wasn't the best idea in the world.

My daughter is coming up to 12 this year, and to be honest I'd much prefer her to try these rather than smoking if she tries it at all. I'm not saying I condone her doing it, but if she does I'd prefer it to be with something that has approx 4000less harmfall chemicals.

Obviously these were intended for people that already smoke, cannot quit, or have quit but came back to it due to X reason as a slightly healthier option like I have done.

'Regulating' is just their word for taxing as they are losing so much tax from the lack of tobacco products for those of us taking this route. I'm sure the tobacco company's are playing a part too as they are losing sales.

If it meant that they will regulate to make sure it's all safer and not add their tax on top fair enough, but since it's obvious that they will and allow people as young as 12 to do so legally, I'm totally against the idea.
