You should try Wales at 6'4 and 90kgs!!!!!
Lanza is a great race and one on my list at some point. The wind is as much of an issue as the climbs I believe as well.

3 long and tough climbs as far as I know. I've driven up one on a jeep safari years ago (to an observatory) and it was very dusty as I recall, I was wearing a white t shirt and ending up binning it afterwards!

as much as wales has a great rep, i couldn't risk the weather. i train in poor weather all year round, I've no interest in signing up for an IM with a high % of it being the same!! after lanza it will be a few years off from IM, focus on oly and a few halves. then back to a fast IM i think

lanza winds are bad have done a lto of cycling out there. one on trip i had to pedal to keep moving down a hill i was freewheeling down at 50km/hr on a previous trip .if it's a windy day it will be all about survival
