You guys know that nuts are very high in fat? ( and consequently very high in calories). Nuts are a fantastic source of quality saturated fat but at 9 calories per gram of fat, a 30g serving of nuts is going to cost you at least 150calories and as someone who looooves nuts, 30 grams is a nothing portion.

If your hungry - try a protein shake or alike. Not any of these pre-made rubbish, get some Whey protein and shaker and mix with water. Good source of protein (20g a scoop) and next to nothing in terms of carbs/fat/sugars etc.

One day, count how many times in that day that you just grab 8 or 9 of them. The next day weigh out 9 nuts then times that by the amount of times you grab some.
That gives you a rough estimate of how many grams a day you eat then you can work out the calories, fats, carbs, proteins...

fats/nuts aren't bad for you in any way - just need to make sure you limit your intake of things like cashnew nuts/almonds etc.

All things in moderation, but the point is nuts, although containing "good" fats, still contain a lot of fats and so are very calorific for their mass.
I was blown away when I learned how fatty and carb rich they are so thought I'd share...

I find MyFitnessPal really helps keep track of what you consume, how any exercise will off set your calorie intake. I also bought a set of Nokia scales that syncs up to MyFitnessPal and tracks your weight etc.
I’m down 2 1/2 stone now. Just need to become more active, maybe gym or cycling when the weather gets better.
