Seriously though @MrSossidge generally when electrical goods like these fail, they fail early. Annoying as it is, I'm sure the next one will be just fine. They do have a very good reputation.

Hey, I'm not worried. Occasionally stuff doesn't work out of the box. Like I said, I'll be ordering another one once I get the refund.

I'm going shipping tomorrow to kit out the kitchen in my new flat and I think a slow cooker will definitely be on the list. I love stew and casserole, but I'm keen to try some other dishes.

Don't discount an electric steamer instead or also.Great for veg and fish, but steamed pork was absolutely minging.

Agree data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 Got a build-in steam oven ... Very good.

I meant a stand-alone 2-3 tier electric steamer. Much cheaper and better coz if you get bored of it just stick it in the graveyard cupboard alongside the toastie maker, blender, spiralizer, nutritional mixer, hostess trolley etcdata:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I meant it that I use one so often to share that there are fantastic options rather than more stuff cluttering the work tops data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
