Best sausages?
I appreciate that it's a very personal thing, but I'm trying to find some tasty sausages. We usually just get whatever's on special at the supermarket, but I'm trying to find something a little tastier.
I tried some Donald Russell pork sausages a couple of months ago, and they're fantastic, so I'll be buying some more of them, and will be popping in to some local butchers, but just wondering what everyone else recommends too? data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 local butchers every time.
Especially when the local butchers is Pynes of Somerset. Farm shops, butchers specials. Anything that you don't get from a pack.
Best places to start really. Make your own?
http://www.naturalsausageskins.co.uk/ These. Nothing was required to die to make them and you can't get much better than that data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 All they need is nicer texture and taste and they would be perfect data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
They are edible, not unpleasant but worse than pretty much every other sausage you've ever tried. Two of my all time favourites are Montbeliard and Merguez Sausages.More so the Merguez
A good butcher I use in Deal Kent can make really good Merguez.
Now hungry due to this thread data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 Morrisons actually do a very good merguez sausage at the mo. very tasty! The Sainsburys Sicilian sausages are really good too. Alas I haven't had the chance to get any made at a butchers In along while. That Jimmys Farms sausages are nice unfortunately they've stopped selling them out our tesco The Black Farmer Sausages | Bacon | Gluten Free
These are great sausages (and the burgers and meatballs), and my personal favourites for just about the highest pork percentage I've seen. And that is what I look for in a sausage.
