I'm a big fan of Belgian beers. Usually stock up when we go to Bruges for a long weekend. A few faves that are starting to become available in the UK are:
Westmalle Dubbel
Kwak
Rochefort (the 10 is my favourite)
Bruges Zot (Blonde or Bruin)
Delirium
Maredsous Blonde
Karmeliet Tripel

When drinking at home or in a pub I'll usually take in a Guinness or a Purity ale (UBU is nice). Lagers are normally Staropramen, Sam Adams, Pilsner Erquell or Erdinger.

Bah! Tesco out of Elvis Juice! Got these instead, just like you couldn't leave without something.

Delivery! I like these kind of deliveries.

Two or three of each of these babies from Magic Rock. All but the black can of stout have my tastebuds tingling. Wonder how the grapefruit one compares to Brewdogs Elvis Juice? I'm betting a stronger grapefruit taste so we'll see.
Not tonight though.

Had an email yesterday from Brewdog saying they have launched a cask conditioned ale which is currently only available in their pubs. Hoping to get up to Norwich in October once back from honeymoon.

Not sure the best place to post this but I think this is outstanding Customer Service:
I asked Brewdog how much grapefruit was in their Elvis Juice.   They immediately understood the reason for my concern and passed it on to the relevant department. The bottom line is the grapefruit is added at more than one point in the process and the final product is blended so they can't say. What impressed me was that they said, if it's a concern, I shouldn't drink it.Which I thought was very responsible of them.

They probably use the rind in the brew as well as juice.

And probably varies each brew, hence the unwillingness to quote for sure. I can tell you as a matter of fact that if they are sticking to a recipe, they know precisely how much is in there...

But there are other factors too, like if it is bottle conditioned or not. That's what makes it complex. And if they brew at high gravity and reduce down data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Orange peel and grapefruit peel are listed as ingredients data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Yeah that's typical of citrus infused beer for the zing!

IronGiant Publish time 26-11-2019 04:44:18

I don't know whether it's grapefruit "oil"(from peel/zest) or juice that's the problem, so I'm very pleased by their cautious advice.

Anyway, back to beer data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

What is the issue with grapefruit? Allergic?

My wife went to Tesco today and returned with 4 bottles of Brew Dog. None were Elvis Juice though. They didn't have any.data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
