Agree re Doombar - not a big bitter drinker (except when we go to Saltaire brewery for the day) but Doombar is a good transition drink for lager drinkers

The American lagers (Brooklyn / Sam Adams) taste like a bitter a bit as well

Good thread this!

Doombar, Ringwood 49'er and Timothy Taylor's Landlord are my 3 favourite standard pub ales.

By any chance does anyone know a bar in Dubai for craft beer? Ideally brew dog but not a prerequisite

Doom is actually a mix between Cornish Coaster and something else (I do forget), but is really different in a bottle - too gassy imo.

The master brewer did indeed leave, but there were a few things in their pipeline.

Some of the Connoisseur's choice are sublime - Honey Spice IPA is my favourite. Chalky's Bite/Bark are both decent (Rick Stein developed).

Atlantic is my favourite of the regular Sharp's stuff, but I have not yet tried Sea Fury. Cornish Pilsner is excellent (World Beer Gold in 2013!), but never sold below £4.50 a pint. Bottled, it is very close to tap as well - thumbs up from me.

Until this year I was working at a global brewer for reference - I know quite a lot of the ins/outs of how everything works data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

As a real ale and beer lover and a Kent man an boy boy my heart was broken when Fremlins Brewery closed down. Fantastic brew data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 so good now it's a shopping mall, least it's called Fremlins Walk data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7.

Anyhooamongst others I try im always drawn back to ( Pub or home ) Directors or London Pride as both throughout the years have never faltered.

Very fond of cask Whitstable Bay IPA from one of my locals ATM data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7.

I like all sorts of different lagers and some different beers but this is one of my favourites I just like the taste.

Woodfordes had a really nice APA out this summer, forget the name but only ever seemed to find it in London.

Second the Adnams tour and would add the Greene King tour as well. At the end you get taken to a private tap and get to fill your boots for an hour or so.

Totally agree, I like a speciality beer but can't beat a Stella for repeat guzzling
