If you are going to try to make a point, try making it a good one in the first place.

So Northern Ireland isn't "people" now? Do you think the money goes in politicians back pockets? Where do you think it's going to say that?

I am amused that for years there was criticism of money going to Westminster from some. This definitely isn't, yet still not right.

If Labour had got a lot more votes we'd be looking at Labour in a deal with the SNP and the SNP demanding money for Scotland and using their position of strength for another Independence vote.

Sadly? Unbelievable racism now.

It's funny but when we gave billions to the EU and the EU threw a little of it back to the regions this was, somehow, a good thing for the country and why we had to be in the EU.

Now when Westminster has to give some to the regions it's suddenly a bad thing.

The magic money tree is strong and stable and its branches are most certainly not a coalition of chaos. Not yet anyway.

I think maybe, just maybe, it was something to do with the concept of paying membership to be in a 'club' that gave us considerable trade advantages and as a group, having more influence on the world stage amongst other things.
Rather than say being blackmailed into giving one small region of the UK a significant bonus in money just to remain operational.

Is it because NI are not 'proper' foreigners that you can defend spending extra money while rabidly attacking the EU because they are proper foreigners ? data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Aah yes membership of a club that meant the rest of the club members could come here, the club could tell you how to live your life and gave away your money. I think we decided we didn't want to be in such a club.
If only.

It was us that gave the club a lot of influence. The club is losing a major member. It will be a lot less important going forward. It will be interesting to see what happens next with so much funding missing.

Is it because NI are not 'proper' foreigners that you have such a problem with it? Must really hurt you that we actually give some UK money to the UK now.data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I mean we were told by some on this forum we had to give money abroad so we could then trade with them and this somehow benefited us.

So why is this wrong?

Unlucky Alf Publish time 26-11-2019 02:50:45

And did the regions get that money before the EU? Will they get it afterwards?

A region. Because it's a bribe to keep Teresa May in power.

Oh dear, I can assure you whilst I am many things, a racist is not one of them.
I think I'll walk away from this now
