It's not really Labour blaming though is it, they never did it, it's more attempting to justify the Tories position.
So it's OK to blame past Tory governments for our current predicament and the current government for anything that happened before it but as soon as anyone mentions Labour has been in government it's like they are picking on the fat kid in the playground data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I see various papers are quoting the total price as in the region of £40bn once the pension lock is taken into account. It seems the Tories have realised there is a magic money tree after all!

They just don't want to give it to poor or brown people.A bunch of science denying Irish bigots is cool though.

They've borrowed Jeremy's as he won't be needing it now data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

The pension lock amendment was going to be dropped anyway, it was clearly one of the toxic manifesto measures that cost them. The cost of maintaining it is spread over a very long term, and bearing in mind that inflation is currently over 2.5% , there is no immediate or short term cost.

To be frank, that's a load of cobblers. Every time the Tories are criticised it descends into'labour did it'. There's literally no need for any talk of labour here.

Is the idea that this money will be creating more permanent jobs in the public sector which will need looking after ?

IronGiant Publish time 26-11-2019 02:50:31

And nobody has blamed previous Tory governments for anything then?

Why are Labour irrelevant here? They are actively criticising the government's position here, aren't we allowed to discuss that? Or is it uncomfortable to have their apparent hypocrisy under the microscope?

Note: I don't support either party.

It only proves the point that we point to labour being hypocritical because they are!

Tory sh*t doesn't stink any more than labour sh*t.

I wonder if the Scots and Welsh will demand a similar bung, whether it's the thin end of the edge as far as the DUP is concerned (ie "we want more where that came from") and what we as tax payers get in return?
Funny how money trees appear out of nowhere when the government wants them
