Never mind, Jack was alright, as always!

Well what do you know.

Odds on it'll be tanking back through 6000 again tomorrowdata:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

One the basis that the FTSE "hits" 6000 twice every time the barrier is broken (once up and once down again) it looks as though its getting a right hammering today. The BBC graph isn't very good/detailed, but it looks as though the barrier has been crossed at least half a dozen times, so the FTSE seems to have hit 6000 at least a dozen times today. And its not yet midday (UK time).

This graph is a little better.A dozen may be understating it data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Coming back again now.

The Americans have given it the go ahead for to rise.

I'll be adding to my personal holdings later next week so another massive drop wouldn't go amiss.

johntheexpat Publish time 26-11-2019 02:12:47

So, the FTSE was down 1.68% today and the Dow ended the day up nearly 4% because the US looks unlikely to raise interest rates in September, so the FTSE will gain maybe 2 or 3% tomorrow and possibly lose it again by the end of the week.
Shedloads of money is being made somewhere. And lost, mainly from our pension funds and ISAs probably.

Luckily or unluckily the managers of our pensions and ISAs also play the market

domtheone Publish time 26-11-2019 02:12:48

As i understand it, our pension funds and ISA's should hopefully be benefiting a bit too.

Our fund masters have the chance to buy the dips (good for long term) and, i assume that as well as a buy and hold strategy that they have for long term investments, they're dipping in and out of the market at opportunistic times too.

Cashing in a crappy savings account next week.75% of it will be going into the markets.Just got to decide which of my recently bombed out shares to add to.data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
